About Courzons
Courzons specialise in Road Safety Engineering / Auditing and Transport Planning and was founded in December 2020 by Zane Courzon Beswick.
Zane has over 20 years’ experience within the highways and transportation industry, which has allowed Courzons Limited to build very good working relationships with Highways Development Control Officers and Design Engineers. These relationships undoubtedly come in handy as part of the S278, S38 and planning application stages of development.

Zane was a Transport Planner, providing highways and transport advice on transportation issues for various types of schemes to a wide range of clients, including land developers, architectural practices, education establishments, private planning consultants and, local authority planning consultants. He was involved in a multitude of projects, ranging from residential to commercial, education and mixed use developments.
Key Tasks

Undertake Collision Data Investigation to identify any clusters and/or patterns of collisions.

Following the collision data investigation, design of subsequent improvement schemes.

Produce Road Safety Audit Briefs and subsequent associated Designer Responses.

Produce Transport Assessments / Transport Statements / Access Statements, Travel Plans, Transport Assessment Scoping Notes and Transport Statements of Common Ground.

Provide advice and support on scheme layouts and masterplanning.

Undertake Site Appraisals for clients identifying opportunities for development.

Carry out site visits to identify safety concerns, land constraints, traffic patterns and identify general accessibility of the site.

Undertake research and analysis using industry standard software, such as TRICS, TEMPRO and Junctions 9 (ARCADY & PICADY).

Provide highways and transport support for clients as part of the Local Development Framework process.
